Laight Street Loft

The brief was quiet: a home that feels like a gallery between exhibitions. We washed the walls in warm lime plaster, poured a pale mineral floor throughout, and hung unlined linen at full height so the light arrives softened.

Against that calm we placed a few strong pieces — a vintage black leather sofa, a raw-edged travertine side table, an ebonised oak console — and divided the rooms with steel-framed reeded glass, so space and light flow through without the noise.

“Fewer things, chosen for how they meet the light. Every piece had to earn its place.”

Detail

Each finish was chosen together on one sample board, so stone, oak, plaster and linen read as a single palette.
